Kitchen Shower Invites

I know, I know…brides don’t design their own bridal shower invites BUT I have fabulous bridesmaids who are endlessly supportive and totally understand that the only thing I enjoy about wedding planning is the craft element. So, they allowed me the opportunity to design my bridal shower invites. Being the ever clever bunch they are, they have managed to keep many elements a surprise to me while letting me enjoy some crafty bliss. So, they provided me with some wording, I got to work designing and then Lisa (one of the most efficient crafters I know) came over and managed assembly, tied some serious twine and addressed envelopes. It was a lovely evening filled with wine, paper, yellow bakers twine and one seriously jacked up printer. Thanks Lisa!

Unfortunately, I had to save on supplies so I didn’t use the Gocco for this venture. Everything was printed on my lazy inkjet (probably should’ve used my always dependable Canon photo printer) and all the designing was in Illustrator. All paper is from Paper Source (except blue index cards, source unknown) and the yellow bakers twine is from Whisker Graphics (they have the best color selection!!!) And the stamp on the index recipe cards is from Paper Source.

What do you think?

can’t wait for the shindig!
